Madeira Vat 22 Fortified Wine 750ml is a classic Madeira wine — a traditional, sweet‑rich fortified wine from the Madeira Islands of Portugal. It’s made primarily from Tinta Negra Mole grapes and undergoes the island’s distinctive estufagem aging process, where the wine is gently heated and oxidatively matured to develop deep, complex flavours and a rich amber‑to‑red colour. On the nose and palate you’ll find sweet dried fruit, caramelised nuts, warm spice, raisins, toffee and subtle nuttiness, all balanced by gentle acidity and a smooth, lingering finish, making it excellent for sipping neat, slightly chilled, or paired with desserts, aged cheeses or nuts.
